Basic Access
Basic Access – $299
The Basic Access package is designed specifically for uncontested divorces where both spouses are already in agreement about everything. It’s a cost-effective solution that still provides high-quality, attorney-crafted documents tailored to your situation.
These are not fill-in-the-blank forms. Instead, you’ll complete a guided questionnaire—similar to an online survey—which captures all the essential information about your case. That data is then used by our custom-built legal software to create your divorce paperwork. The documents you receive look and feel like they were drafted in Microsoft Word by an attorney, because they are based on templates created by an attorney who has nearly two decades of legal experience and over 25 years of software development.
Unlike the free forms you may find online, which often lack guidance and are difficult to complete correctly, our Basic Access package is supported by hours of video content that explains the most common legal issues. These videos walk you through what to expect and how to prepare, including how to file your documents, who at the courthouse needs copies, how to set a motion for hearing, and how to explain your case to the judge.
While Basic Access does not include attorney review, your completed questionnaire will be reviewed by a trained paralegal who will compare your answers to the documents generated. If anything seems off or inconsistent, the paralegal will flag those issues for you and notify you via email or text, depending on your preferences. This helps ensure your documents are accurate before you file them with the court.
Once your documents pass review, they will be available for download as PDFs and can be printed immediately. If a document is flagged during review, printing is temporarily restricted to prevent you from filing incorrect forms. You’ll have the opportunity to correct your responses and resubmit for another review. Up to two (2) paralegal reviews are included with Basic Access.
Although an attorney will not be listed on the signature pages of your documents, the judge will see professionally formatted and properly completed legal documents that include all required information. Judges can easily recognize when someone has taken the time to do things the right way, and when you can clearly explain how property and custody issues are handled in your case, that goes a long way in earning the judge’s confidence.
Basic Access does not include an attorney’s name on the paperwork because no attorney is reviewing or vouching for your specific case details. Including that language would be misleading and inappropriate. However, if you want additional help, consultations are available for an added fee, and you can learn more about that here.
You can also update your answers at any time before filing. If you need to revise something after you’ve filed with the court, changes are still possible, but the process is more complex. You will need to file and Amended Petition, and you can learn more about that here.
For payment, Basic Access requires a $150 (50%) down payment when you sign up. The remaining balance is due within 30 days. Documents are not generated until the full payment is made. If a user initiates a credit card chargeback, we reserve the right to notify the court and intervene. Please, if you believe there is an issue with your paperwork, please let us know. We will do all that we can to correct it. We are not in the legal document business, we are in the problem solving business. We want your case to go through as easily as possible. We do not stop caring after we give you the paperwork.
